        A 3.75 to 2.19 shift would be beyond horrible....

        Stock 4th gen t-5 ratios are as follows:

        1 - 2.95:1
        2 - 1.94:1
        3 - 1.34:1
        4 - 1.00:1
        5 - 0.73:1

          You might want to re-check your numbers.

            OMG all of this misinformation is horrible.

            Pull your rear end cover and count teeth. End of story.

                Check your RPO codes

                GU5= 3.23
                GU6= 3.42
                G80= LSD

                End of story for your situation, unless you suspect someone changed your gears from the factory ones which is unlikely on a '02.

                As for the y87 thing, I heard, SEEN, and have talked to people with y87 5-speed, and 3.23 gears, I have never heard/seen/talked to anyone with 3.42s, 5-speed and Y87...

                And you woudl think I might know I aksed alot fo 3.42+5-speed questions back in the day, and almost no one had that combo and those that did had it the same way I did, swapped it in.
