I'm alil confused about something. From what I've read, most of you guys change the fluid in your manual transmission. However, when I had my previous camaro, I took it to Aamco to get the fluid changed, and the guy there said that the only time you change your fluid is when you install a new clutch, for obvious reasons. I was just wondering if I should or shouldn't change the fluid. Thanks

Recommended service interval for automatic or manual trans fluid change is every 30k or 2 years. Same for the differential.
I can see why Aamco wouldn't want you doing preventative maintenance... ;)1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>

Yeah... I thought it was alil weird that they told me not to change the fluid. I always thought it was a routine maintence thing, I just got alil confused. I'll admit, I don't know nearly as much about transmissions as I do about engines.\'97 Camaro 3.8L
