It's snapped three times on my Camaro, but I think the orignal one was already broken when I bought the car new. The first replacement lasted 3,000 miles and the second lasted longer than that, but that was including a 1300 mile freeway drive that probably didn't affect it much.
I have no idea why it breaks. The dealer said they replaced it with a new version that's supposed to be stronger last time, but the part number was the same as the first time and it still broke. I'm still waiting to have it replaced again.Black 2002 Camaro M5-SS takeoff muffler, B&M Ripper, K&N Filter, 35/20% tint, Infinity speakers, Viper alarm, perpetually breaking clutch return spring mod. 15.49@90.15
Pewter 2002 Firebird M5 (Dad\'s Car)
