does anyone know if a limited slip differential from a 98-02 Camaro SS or Firehawk will work with my car? I have a 97 firebird with a 3.08 open differential, but will be upgrading to motive 3.42 gears, and the complete gear installation package from thunder racing. that diffy should work..i would call them and see how many axle splines it takes (after you find out how many you have..i think we have 28?)..as long as its 7.5" 10-bolt and matches up with your number of axle splines it will work..also..if you have ABS you want to make sure this diffy will accept a 3-series ABS reluctor ring to keep your ABS operational..you can buy one off slponline.com for like $20

Yes that one will work for the 3-series gears but not for your current ones. Make sure whoever installs your gears swaps the reluctor ring from your old differential.

What brand LSD is recommend for 3.42 gears for my car? also where can i order an LSD from. The only site i found that has a selection of LSD'S is Full Throttle Performance, but their LSD'S are pretty pricey

Actually, make sure you get a new reluctor wheel that will fit. The series 2 wheel won't work with the series 3 carrier. ;)

Yea, just get the reluctor ring. All F-bodies from the middle of '88 and up have 28 spline axles....before that they had 26.
