  • Sorry About that Last post

Since that last post I've looked at a bunch of old discussions and found everything I've needed except one thing... Is that installation kit that SLP sells something that I need? I've heard both ways..

What install kit? Need details. Also, your in my neck of the woods, so might be able to point you in the right direction of a shop too.

You know what. Tell me you have drum brakes and I'll talk with you off-line about my old rear axle. It has the GU6 code.

The Installation kit is the one that SLP sells for changing your rear end ratios on your gears.. It has been discussed numerous times here and sells for $120 on SLP online. Is this something I would need to get new gears and LSD put on?... Also can I put on the new gears and LSD if I have drum brakes? or does that make a difference.. please help

Maybe I was unclear.. someone just tell me if the STuff that I am getting is all I will need.. I've researched this and think this is it but I would like some assurance here.

        1. Zexel Torsen LSD from SLP

        2. 3.42 Gears from GM

        3. ABS Reluctor Ring From Slp

And I've heard talk of the installation kit that slp sells for changing gears and such.. but I have no clue if that is needed.. and again does having drum brakes in any way not make this possible?

you can get the reluctor ring at a dealship for 25 dollars. gear install kit can be found at www.gearsareus.com for 39.99. steve was asking if you want to use/buy his old axel and not have to worry with installing gears because it already has 3.42s in it, i think. having rear drums or discs makes no difference.

and damn your sig is long...
