yeah, its slower if you wait til the gear in which the car auto changes, but lets say you start from a stop, go shift to 2nd at 10mph and shift to 3rd around like 25mph,...
trying to get to the top gear really soon..
would that make it alot faster? does it hurt the tranny to shift early?
I could be wrong, but I do believe he thinks that the sooner he shifts into the next gear, the faster he will go. It's the opposite. You want to hold each gear as long as you can to get the best acceleration.

like rob said.....u will not go faster by shifting into your highest gear as quick as u can lol.
4k rpm in 2 gear is a lot quicker than 1k rpm in 5th.
lol
its alright
next time your driving, put your foot to the floor on the highway
not much will happen at all at first, but since you have an auto, your car will downshift therefore causing to accelerate alot faster than you would if it stayed in your top gear
doesnt transgo have a kit to make it where you can shift an automatic
no fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>
the transgo kit just holds the bands better and adjusts the firmness of the shifts... between that and a servo it really beefs up the tranny. Harder shifts, higher revs... much better!
if u shift it from say... 1st to 3rd... the car won't skip from 1st to 3rd so you'll be in 3rd faster... it'll just shift itself up gradually untill it gets in2 third~then it'll hold itself there if u leave it untill the rpms get so high that the cars shift's itself in2 4th. sound bout right 2 ya'll?
You can also leave your can in 1 floor it and it will shift to 2 at redline but no more.
