1998-1996 Rear-End/Brakes

I'm going to be picking up a complete rear end from a 1998 SS to swap onto my 96 non-tcs non-y87 RS. I know this has been discussed a bit but I searched and couldn't find the specifics on what i'm looking for.

From what i can figure, there should be a way to wire the ABS, i know the plugs dont match up and it goes from 2 sensors to 1 but i figure you can probably wire it somehow. If not, no big deal i can live without ABS. Just as long as the rear works.

I read about some issues with the brakes being too big? Something about the wheels not fitting. Will the brakes really be an issue? And if they are, can i swap my brakes on them or do some kind of conversion to get the disc brakes to work?

Also from what i've read, the e-brake is set up differently. Is there way to make this work as well?

And anything else?

No issue with brake size AFAIK. Only issue with wheels fitting rears is using 97+ wheels on a 93-96 rear because the hub ring is slightly smaller and requires trimming.

If you have a single rear brake line (non-TCS) and the rear has dual rear brake lines (TCS) you will have to convert the lines to the single. I did this also, there's a writeup on my site. You will need a brake line cutting/flaring tool.

ABS will still work, you don't even have to change the connector - it's the same size and shape just 2 less wires.

Get the e-brake cables with the rear. These go from the caliper to the bracket in the driveshaft tunnel. Drum cables won't work with the disc brakes.
