Does anyone know if there is a company that can make light weight axle tubs, rear ends etc. I don’t want a big 9 inch ford, or 12 bolt mosser. I want to keep all my gearing and everything stock. Just trying to shave off a few pounds on the car.

you can buy some rifle drilled axles and lightened gears for a 12 bolt or 9inch but your looking at spending lots of money, and if you want an aluminum housing it has to be a 12bolt or 9inch and it will be VERY expensive...not worth the moneyBlack 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98

Strange Engineering makes a 9" ford rear end in alum wich shaves off about 20lbs or so. Case for a 3.062 bearing, and 3.250 bearing is about 380 bucks. Not to expensive for that part of it.
What about axle tubes to match? Thanks,
JAM
02 Firebird GT
