lately i've been noticing my downshifts are getting a little rough--like i can feel them. that's usually not very normal for an automatic tranny--the 3-2 and 2-1 shifts are noticeable, not bad, just noticeable. well, i was just wondering if maybe this was a result of getting 3.42s in without the proper programming, or if this is tranny slipage, or what? if it is a problem due to not having the proper programming, it's not hurting the tranny to do this is it? thx a lot.

I don't know what to really tell you because I never did a 3.42 install. Did you do it yourself or did a shop do it? The only reprogramming I thought you needed was the speedometer recalibrated. It shouldn't effect anything else should it? If the tranny is slipping you'll know it, it won't go into gear propperly and you'll definatley feel it. If it's just rough, when was the last time you changed your tranny fluid? Other then that, I don't know.

heh, actually, the more i drove it around tonight the more i realized that i think it was just my mind and i really don't think it was abnormal. for some reason, when my car drops into the low gear, my intake makes a lot more noise ????? don't ask me, i don't know why...but i think hearing the noise made me think it was shifting harder than it really is. enough.2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28<br />323/335
