Why? What happened? I'm hoping to do this soon myself, but if someone out there had problems, I'd like to know what they were. I pulled my D/S when I put the new Posi Rear in, but it just dropped out without any problem.

ya, for some reason my ds was wedged into the posi housing pretty tightly and it took a lot of strength and a few screwdrivers to pry with to get it out--that was just for me though. then, lining the splines up perfectly in the tranny end is hard because if you don't get the yoke in the exact spline, then the ujoints won't go in on the other end. not too mention that if you work under a car for long enough you lose all bloodflow to your arms and they get really weak and it gets harder to hold the ds up in place. now it wouldn't be so hard of an installation since i know what all is involved--but yesterday i wasn't quite sure and it took me about 3 hours. one other thing, before jacking the car up, try and get the ujoints in the posi lined up in a way that you can easily get to the screws. since i used ramps instead of jackstands, i couldn't really position where the ujoints were very well. anyway, i wound up getting three of the 4 screws in pretty tightly and then i had to back the car up to get a wrench on the fourth one--and i didn't have the car on a jackstand, so i was basically being squashed by the car when i was trying to tighten the last screw. i don't guess it was that bad, just seemed it at the time...2000 NBM M6 Camaro Z28<br />323/335
