  • Finding a Differential....

    Okay im pretty new to gears and differentials but im buying both probably this week. Is this the right differential for my car? Ebay auction Also the gears im getting are the SLP 3.73. Thanks for any help guys!

    Also I have done some of my hw and I think thats a good price if its right for my car, tell me what you guys think.

    Yes the diff "the right one for your car" and the price is good (if it is new) because SLP sells em for $400

      yup..that'll do it..i always tell people to REMEMBER to get a 3-series ABS reluctor ring to keep your ABS operational..your 2-series will not work (assuming you have a 2-series now) ..you can get one from www.slponline.com for like $20 ..you'll also need a carrier bearing kit..you can get one from www.ring-pinion.com for like $50 [img]smile.gif[/img]

        That diff will work, but it's a bit pricey IMO.

        The one that SLP sells for $400 is an Auburn Pro series. The take off posi that they sold was $99, and that is what this guy is selling for $215

        Not a horrible price, but not a great choice if you are going to be putting a lot of power through it.

          Well i dont really plan on too much power. Not more than 320hp. If i get my promotion at work ill be looking at a new car*Cough*99corvette*cough*. So would that be okay?

            You can't get the 99$ special take-offs anymore, so anything less than 200$ is a good deal now.

              i say go for it. i paid 265 for my new zexel and thats what i was finding auburns for.
