Since the guy who sold me the lsd w/3.73 gears ended up bi!ching me with an open diff I waned to make sure that the gears are 3.73 before I put them in. I look up the part # on the side of the ring gear on gmpartsdirect and it didnt come up with anything. It read this on the side of the gear "344161 12:41 G.M." If someone with 3.73s not installed yet or someone who could look this up can help me out it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Count the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide them by the teeth on the pinion gear. That will give you the ratio.

It was someone from a forum (may have been this one) who was parting out his z28.

Well the Z28 never came with 3.73's if he told you they were stock 3.73's. How much you pay for them?

Dayum man, I still wouldn't have payed that much, you cold have got them cheaper thru ebay. After I was fuc*ed over I just bought gears thru advance auto, got them the next day. I got my lsd thru slp but I think they have ran out by now.

I doubt anyone will take that trade. I would try ebay but, make sure than the pic is close enough to where you can count the teeth in the pics.

For future reference, 12:41 is the tooth count. 41/12 = 3.42.

                              ^^ Right So for a 3.73 you are looking for a 11:41 or for a 4.10 a 10:41.

Quick ebay search for 3.73's http://search.ebay.com/gm-7-5-3-73-1...73Q2010Q20bolt
