  • Bad Clutch? Need advice!

Have a 3.4 with Centerforce DF. Been on for 2years/45,000m. Squeeling really loud when engaging/disengaging pedal and slips here and there. Not to bad. But yesterday I noticed that while the car is off and keys not in ignition, and foot not on clutch pedal, I can move the shifter into all gears, not just the stopping point from not pushing in clutch. It actually goes into gear without pushing in pedal. WTF? Is the clutch really close to going completely out?

That is normal...if the gears are all lined up, you will be able to shift into and out of gears with the car off.

yeah.. now if you have it parked with the engine shut off.. and in gear and you can push the car.. then you got some serious clutch problems.. honestly man what you just described being able to do has nothing to do with the clutch..
