    can u do this on a 3.4.? i figure being such a smaller engine it would be really beneficial. are they more expensive than a aluminum? and where can i find one of these babys?

    theyre MUCH more expensive, like 600 bucks or something, and theyre only like 5 lbs less than the Aluminum DSs, look in the tech database or mods database whatever its called here...

      Don't get the CF DS, that's for people with tons of money just looking for another thing to do to their car. Not worth it unless you're just out of things to do. :D

          A lot of high horsepower engines use the carbon fiber driveshafts not only for the lighter rotating mass, but also so that if the DS breaks due to high torque or a hole shot of nitrous, the carbon fiber frays instead of having a sharp metal DS clunking around in your DS tunnel. Cloth does MUCH less damage than metal.

            Only 5 pounds lighter than aluminum. Thats alot. The aluminum weighs 10 pounds. So the carbon fibre would be 5 pounds. Thats 5 pounds compared to the stock 2 peice 23 pound driveshaft. YOu would shave of 18 pounds. Thats alot. But I would go with aluminum there much cheaper.
