Ok heres the problem with my car, prolly rest of us V6'ers but lets say off a line we punch it ... burn rubber, nice takeoff then when you hit 40mph, it seems like your car just cuts off, like say yesterday i raced this LT-1 Trans AM... off the line and up to 35mph i was right next to him the whole time.. then when we shifted.. boom he takes off like a mother while i look like a turtle.. what would help me out there? would shift kit maybe help?

The nitrous solution would be your cheapest solution to get closer to a V8. I am a big F-Body fan and have had many F-Bodies. We have three in the family. There is a BIG difference in an LT1 or LS1 and even the 3.8. But a V6 can be improved on with cold air induction, cam, exhaust, heads, etc. Big gains would be necessary to get close to a V8. They are only going to come from a lot of mods or a big power adder like nitrous or a blower.99 WS6 Transam (Red,MM6,Traction Control)<br />Current Mods: Direct Flo Lid,Bassani Catback,Koni Shocks,FE7(1LE)Frt.
