• Could this be my problem?

Ive been turning horrible times compared to other people here and on this site (15.5 w cutout and k&n) and i think this may be why..
My transmission had a slight slip, then it decided to go completely. Replaced it.

My 2 piece steel driveshaft (stock) is shot. More precisely the carrier bearing. The front part of the driveshaft has about an inch of play in it

Could the driveshaft be the source of all my woes? and if so, would you guys recommend the 1 piece steel (ie Y87) or a 1 piece aluminum? Gimme input guys

dont get your hopes too high, a lot of the people on here race in sea level conditions and thats why they're as quick as they are...
