    I searched and havent found anything useful. So What exactly does the racket thing do?

    The V-Matic 2 is dual mode shifter. One mode is ratchet mode where the shifter essentially works like a ratchet. Moving the stick moves it only to the next gear elminating overshifting. It returns to the upright position when it is released.

      ohhh, so sya your in Overdrive and you rachet it backwards all the way, then it is in Drive, do it again and you in 3rd(?)
