  • HELP FAST!!! T5 Connections???

I'm in the drive way dropping the motor/tranny out of the Bird and I'm at a snag. The forward most connection, I'm having trouble with it. It's the gold coloured one, with a little white plastic retainer clip on it. How do you get this off? It's the last connection, and I need help as fast as possible. It's the hydraulic clutch line.

    Thanks

    Andrew

There make a disconnect tool for it, you can pick it up at the parts store cheap. Or it CAN be done using a pair of small picks if you know just how the piece works.

If you havent figured it out yet, you need to slide the white plastic sleeve in (towards the trany) to make it disconnect. We made the mistake of removing it and trying to disconnect the line. I beleive you just push that sleeve in with a screwdriver or something, and that is the quick release for the hydraulic line. Hope this helps.

You can push in the plastic ring on each side of the cylinder with 2 flat head screw drivers. once you get it in far enough there is a slight click and you can pull it right off.
