Which people say that? If you read the owners manual it says for daily driving just put it in D with the square around it. If that is what the owners manual says I highly doubt it will hurt the car. I drive mine in D with the square around it all the time. It will only shift into OD when needed/possible. Using the D with a square around it just makes it possible for the tranny to shift into OD, it doesn't put it in OD.
The only time you really need to use just the regular D is under high load situations like towing.
As always RTFM SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)
