Zexel Torsen gear ?

can you change the gears in a Zexel Torsen Differential and can you light up both tires with a ZT [img]graemlins/dunce.gif[/img]

A Zexel Torsen is a Limited Slip differential. It will leave two strips of rubbber.

Can you change the gears in a Zexel Torsen? No. You can change the gears that it is attatched to.

i still dont understand can you put 3.42 gears in a Zexel Torsen

Take apart the rear end and you will understand. The Actual Ring Gear is attached to the outside CASING of the differential (The "Zexel Torsen"). You CAN change the gears though. 3.42s will work well with a "Zexel Torsen."
Have someone else do your install... :D

This is what the carrier looks like. You can't change the gears in this. (This is not a Zexel Torsen)

These are the gears that get can be changed. The big one is the ring and the other is the pinion.

You can put 3.42 gears ONTO a Zexel Torsen. The ring and pinion gear you're talking about do not go IN the differential but the ring gear does attach to the side of the Torsen.
