Any hints?
I have access to a engine lift and a pit, but still would like to know what I am getting myself into before I start - things look damn tight in that engine compartment.
I am also going to post this in the advanced tech forum - thanks.
I've swaped mine out when I added the oil return fitting for the turbo. It was pretty anoying but it's possible. I had to remove the engine mount bolts and use a lift to lift it as far as I could. Then I wresseled w/ trying to get it out...I also had to remove my oil pump to give me some more clearance. Hope this helps. Why are you taking it off?
Well the think has very low oil pressure when it warms up - about 5 lbs (factory gauge reads about 0 - below the red line) and the mechanical gauge reads about 5 lbs - I hopeing it is the pump - but personaly I hold little hope for that - cant tell till you get the pan off and see what there is to see...
