  • Axle Removal Question

I just ordered my zexel limited slip diff. from amm performance and the only instruction I've found for installing it is Jordan Musser's page. I was wondering what will I have to do to get the axles out since I have rear discs and his page shows how to do it on drums. Thanks.
    BTW I have a 99 M5

You have to remove the calipers, then remove the rotor. You might need some dykes to cut the little clips. Push the axles in on both sides, then take the C-clips out of the axles on the inside of the Carrier. THen the axles will just pull out the sides. It will make a mess, the axles will be covered with gear oil.
