Please Help ...

I did a 3.08 to 3.73 gear change awile ago and cant get the speedo calibrated. ordered the jet scu 2000 a long time ago got a bad one sebt it back in october and I'am still waiting for my replacement. I here it wont work any way with my swap. The dealer could not reprogram for some odd reason. But.. they said if I found a 1999 V6 camaro with 3.42 gears(Y87 I guess) and automatic and got the vin number off it he could reprogram my camaro to that so the calibration would be closer. But then wouldent the scu2000 work aswell?
So heres where I need help been looking for the vin for awile now and cant find one. If any of you have a 1999 canaro with 3.42 V6 automatic please can I use your VIN #. I work for a dealership in michigan, and we have a company called specmo who overhaul all of our messed up radios and ip clusters. they are good with electronics. I was thinking about that same swap in my bird, and the have a box they wire in that intercepts your wheel speed sensor info and recalibrates it to the new gear, then sends it to your pcm. That is the only place i have heard of that do it.
