• Zexel Torsen or Auburn Pro?

Simple...Zexel Torsen or Auburn Pro LSD? I know SLP sells there heavy duty ZT for $500 and an Auburn Pro is about $300. Which one do you think is better?

The Zextel Torsen take off is plenty enough for our cars. My mom has a 2000 Firehawk and even the guy from SLP said that the Auburn Unit is too much for her car and it's a V8! So the Zextel Torsen is the way to for us fellow 6'ers.

According to the SLP website the takeoff is what is stock on most 4th gen Camaros.

Yes, the Zexel Torsen is what GM installs on the vehicles equiped with LSD... the Auburn is what SLP takes them off for. The Zexel is a better unit because it can spli the torque 50-50 between the two wheels. However the stock Zexel-Torsen unit can not handle as much torque as the Auburn, but that limit is well above what almost everybody puts down in the V6.

Torsen = best bang for the buck.

If you break a torsen and trully need more, go with Eaton.
