I'm absolutely SOLD on the Street Edge converter, but the question is: what stall should I get? What STR should I get? I'm looking for this to be a 14, maybe even 13-second N/A car. My next big mod will most likely be a new cam. With this in mind, I'm looking for the optimal converter for my future setup.

to get the most out of your verter, you need to know your max torque and what rpm thats at... your verter should be around 500-700 rpm's lower than your max torque rpm to get the most out of it... i'm still on completely stock engine and i'm running a 2800 stall, and it rocks... hope that helps...

Doesn't more STR give you less top end efficiency? I thought the best thing was to try to get a balance of good STR and efficiency. If you have 2.73's, then the higher the STR rating will work better. If you start to go the other way 3.23's, 3.42', 3.73's, then the STR rating should go down accordingly. There is more to it than just this, this is to give you a start of what to look for. Matching the cam (duration at .050 lift, and the lobe centerline) to the TC is the most critical. Who makes this Street Edge converter? and what is the diameter?

Thanks. I am not familiar with their units even though they are only a couple of hours from me. I will have to check them out. Right now I am a distributor for A.C.T's 9.5" MAG & PI's Vigilante. They sound as if they know their stuff.
