bout to change my rear diff fluid and i'm a bit confused as to my gear size. i've heard you can count teeth to determine the size. is there someplace or does anyone know how many teeth there are per size, i.e. 3.42 = x teeth, 3.37 = y teeth? i'd really like to know for sure what size my gears are.

To figure out your diff. gear ratio count the number of teeth on the ring gear,count the number of teeth on the pinion gear then divide the two numbers. I.E. ring gear count:41,pinion gear count:12, 41 divided by 12= 3.4166666 I.E. 3.42:1Comment
