so i bought a used 1999 formula rear end. im just wondering if anybody knows if it will have posi? i looked it up and i read that the formulas come with the torsen lsd, but does that = teh posi? any help would be appreciated, thanks!

a lsd and posi are the same thing. if u say its got a torsen in there then it is a posi. just hope you didnt get stuck with a 2 series posi with a 2:73 ring on there.1997 Camaro LS1 RS

how can i tell what ive got in it? i have the plate off of it, and i can see the gears..

The Torsens are like that. They function as an open rear until it detects slip.
See how many turns of the pinion flange it takes to complete one rotation of the wheel.
