Does anyone know if the tranny cooler has a flow direction?

I would think it does...but when I hooked it up, I didn't look...and now the tranny feels a little weird. It feels like I have to press the gas more to make it shift.

    Anyone?

might be because you lost tranny fluid or the increased volume made the pressure drop slightly. I'd say check fluid levels. I'm about to install a B&M supercooler this weekend, I'll check but I doubt it has to be set up to flow in one direction because the whole thing is symmetrical.

      I never thought they were.

However, when I accidentally reversed the lines on my Honda Passport after a timing belt and water pump replacement, it didn't shift right. The Check Transmission light came on. When I switched them back, everything was fine. (yes, the thing actually has a Check Transmission light in it!)

So there's at least one tranny cooler that is directional. Probably has a backflow prevention valve or something like that in it...

nver heard of a tranny coole having a checkvalve in it. We'll assume tha the fluid level is correct. What sequence did youo connect the lines in?

I've checked the fluid levels and added a little, even though it said it was full, because I spilled a little. The fluid level is right at the full hot mark when I check it.

I took out the return line from the top of the radiator where the return line comes out of.

I ran a new line into the new tranny cooler and then back into the return line where the line that I removed was connected.

          Everything is tight...there's no leaks.

Could it be that the flow is restricted due to the fastener onto the stock tranny cooler that I used to put in the new line? Or could I have an internal valve body problem and it leaks because it's trying to push more preasure through the line, but it leaks out?

          Any ideas?

B&M Coolers are not directional. If the coolant level is fine, and there's no visible leaks between the cooler and the transmission, your problem lies within the transmission itself.
