gears are in(gear whine)

well i got my gears in and i have gear whine on deceleration, the put valvoline synpower fully synthetic limited slip oil(expensive **** I HAD to pay for) well i went bak and he said yeah i was afraid about the decelration side or something he said he would have to adjust the pinion depth and i am going next monday to get it done!! he said with it being on the deelration side it wouldnt hurt nething and i could bring it in next monday and he apologized and said i cant tell ya how many rears i have done and this is the 2nd i will have to go back into but i will take care of it!!

Good luck with the gear noises. I honestly don't know what to suggest except taking it to a professional to have it fixed...

well this guy is supposedly pretty good, he is gonna go and fix it (i hope) so we will see what happens

Mine had the same thing and it just went away, then i changed the fluid and it's been fine ever since. I told my installer to make it as tight as possible. It's survived countless 5k clutch dumps so far...

Did he happen to say which way the pinion had to go? Was he going to tighten it down some more or put a new crush sleeve in and start over?
