• Gears are in, they work fine but.....

Everything works fine minimal gear whine. I dropped in a Eaton Posi unit while I was in there and now if I take a hard right turn I get some sort of howling back there. From the best of my limited knowledge its just power transfering to the axle that didnt have power prior to the posi unit. Makes sense because when ever Id burn out with my open diff my right tire would be the one with the torque, so now since its posi its got torque to both sides and the left axle is like :/ cause its got posi now. Or is this something more sinister :/ lol

Is it real posi or LSD?

Real posi can sometimes be known to "chatter" when turning.

Give it a few weeks and it should go away. Then, replace the gear oil and it should disappear completely. If you haven't gotten a girdle with a stud kit, now's your chance.

I think its just the torque getting transfered to the driver side axle. I dont even have any gear whine anymore ever since I started jumpin on it, big improvement over stock, very fun
