This tranny supposedly came out of a '96 Camaro. The shifter is a lot thicker than the one in my '96 firebird, plus mines gray and this ones black. I can't compare it to mine right now cause the cars sitting on a lift at a transmission shop for the weekend. Is this really a stock shifter? I didn't think that Camaros came with a different shifter Could someone fill me in?

Sooo, the Camaro and Firebird stock shifters are different? I dunno this thing just looks thicker than my shifter, but I don't have mine here to do a side-by-side comparision.

I'm wondering if I should use this black, round knob or keep my old gray Firebird knob?
