Owners manual wouldn't tell you a thing. Autos come with 2 different possible gears. To find which gears you have:
Matt
1998 Mystic Teal Camaro M5
Whisper Lid, Pacesetter Headers, Catco Cat, Dynomax Super Turbo, B&M Shifter, BMR STB, LSD, P&P Intakes, GT2 Cam, Comp OE Lifters, 1.7 Roller Rockers, Pushrods, SSM Heads, DHP PowrTuner.

You're looking for a white sticker on either the inside lid of the glove box or the end of the driver's door that has a bunch of 3-digit alphanumeric codes. These are your RPO codes and tell you exactly what equipment your car came equipped with when you compare them to the list linked above.
You could have 3.08 or 3.42 from the factory.1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>

Positraction is derived from positive traction, or a way to increase traction, which effectively means the same thing as limiting wheel slip.1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>
