• The need to drill for a tranny mount?

Is it necessary to drill the transmission brace to accept the poly and/or the 1le transmission mount?

hey joe i think to make these work you have to make the whole bigger..you might have to get the dremel and mkae the hole bigger..ill see if i can find the post about it

yeah with either one you have to make the hole bigger.. 1le you just have to make the hole a little bigger.. with the poly mount you need to make it bigger and longer because the poly mount is not offset.. if you get one and set it next to your stock mount you will understand what I mean by offset.. I have had both of them... wound up going with the 1le.. just because I got tired of messing with it.. maybe one day will go back to the poly mount

Am the only person that put in a 1LE tranny mount in with no trouble?

          Direct bolt in?

I just wrote a post about this a few threads down...It is a bit of a pain, guess it's worth it though...how does the new mount feel in your cars? Mine feels a lot different, think I need to adjust it...

Back when i did my 1le mount it bolted right in. Sure did vibrate alot though, maybe i will put one back in there. I had the one for the 2000 and up models though.

I got the poly mount in last night, a little work with a drill and my dremel and it was all good ... The shifter actually sits a little lower and doesnt flop around AT ALL

I get a nice little back rub/vibrate out of it too.. but that will probably settle down in a couple of days. All and all I love it. makes the car feel more solid.
