Ok so I'm in need of a new clutch. I'll be doing it myself I just need to decide which one to get, SPEC stage II from ftpp.net, or CenterForce II from Lukavich Peformance. If i get it from Luka Pef I can just pick it up at their store. I have a 97' Camaro RS Convt. So far just the Y87 Pefromance Package and a flowmaster muffler, so basicaly pretty stock but plan on doing other mods like CAI, cam, chip, ect nothing to big. So I want something thats not gona be too hard on me and has good grip that can handle what i give it. If any one has any comments on these clutchs it would be reatly apperacited.
my clutch is goin out as well. I thought instead of getting the oem from the place that is putting it in i would just find an aftermarket kit. I will not be adding anything to my car, maybe lid and exhaust but thats it. So i would like something heavy duty but typical for everday use and not racing. Whats my best bet? I searched on ebay but found so many and din't know which was best. I would really appreciate some info... thanks.

s[ec II is streetable but you might notice a little chatter n 1st, and people will definitely know its not a factory clutch when they drive your car and stall it a few times, even if they drive a manaul car themselves daily.

ok well with stuff I've now heard about SPEC clutchs from several sites I'm not getting a SPEC clutch. Now with the centerforce I would like a centerforce II b/c I like I said I would like to do a little more to my engine so tonite i need to call back lukovich perf to ask what the $ for a centerforce II is I only got a $ for the centerforce I so depending on what they tell me its looking like my main choice is the centerforce II. Now one more question is has anyone had some experiecne with RAM clutchs?
josh98bird- from what i have looked up and read up on I would recomend the centerforce I if you plan on not doing anything else to your car. From what I've read u get better grip with the same daily driver feel.
i got my car back yesterday and its awsome... the clutch kit works great and i also got slave cylinder etc... shifts smoothly like a new car, but also grips quickly and strongly... thanks

Personally I have the Centerforce duel friction clutch and I love it. It would be my first reccomendation unless you want to spend 800+ on a hardcore clutch which for your application doesnt seem to be the case. So I would reccomend the duel friction.
