for me (about 2 years ago now) it was new gears and lsd (150 bucks-ebay off some guy's TA) and a 310 dollar install (including install kit) at the local shop, and i would consider that to be expensive.

if i knew then what i know now, id just install the thing myself... for a total of 150 bucks.

i later added disk brakes to my crappy rearend for another 100 bucks.

Only thing is the estimate for the work is 500-600...
 Are you serious? Of all people, the DEALERSHIP is charging me $200 to do my swap. And I'm sure it's because they have all the tools to do it in like an hour or so. Get a complete rear end from Fparts salvage. Great service, and great products.
