Adjusting B&M Ripper

I got B&M Ripper shifter that was used on 95m5 bird.
It has 2 bolts for adjusting Throws.
I got it installed and now under heavy acceleration on the top rpm range im getting tapping noise coming from the shifter. Never had that with stock.
I took it apart again, and put these bolts little bit more tide. Still same noise on high rpm. And it does it on all gears. What do I do ? I have no idea how to adjust it, have no instructions. B&M owners please help!

Here is the picture of stock and B&M side by side. They look pretty much the same.

I had a rattling noise at first from the round thing that slides down the shaft (heh) for the lower boot. Had to get the boot arranged right so it stopped.

If it's a 2-piece like the Hurst check the bolts that attach the stick to the base. Mine loosened and the stick started to rattle at upper rpm's also. I pulled the bolts out, put a dab of Loctite on them and tightened them back down and they haven't worked loose since.

Tomorrow I will check for the bolts.
The shifter bolts on the black cap are very tight for sure. My friend recommended me to put a thick gasket between shifter and transmission to lift it up a bit, so I will do that and will make sure that shifter to transmission bolts are tight as well.
Matt , which round things are you talking about? Are they inside the shifter(i had to take the black cover off to get there)?
Also 2 more things : when I move the shifter to the right it goes tight and returns back to the center position, when I move it to the left, It stays there.. I have to push it slightly to make it return to center position. (weak return spring??)
2nd, I can lift the shifter up for about 1/4 of the inch, I can feel that springs are pushing it down, but if I want it I can lift it a bit. Is it normal?
