  • how tell if tranny/tc is going bad?

i feel like my car is driving sluggish quite a bit lately. i mean i have all kinds of problems, but this one is kinda new. for example, after being at as stop sign i can accelerate but the car seems to be moving at half its optimum. i can hear it rev high, but i am moving way slower than usual. it moves if i punch it, but if i want a gradual increase it really takes its time. BUT it only seems to do this sporadically.
6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

Did you do the TC yet? Shoot me a message so we can do that filter in the trans and at that time we can look and see what else is going on.

<slaps head> Sorry, i was thinking about someone else.

sounds like your trans is not shifting back into 1st and maybe stoping in 2nd possibly 3rd.
from what I rember the 2000's dont have SGS second gear start but I could be wrong.

I have a 2000 and it has sgs. Try manually shifting the automatic to see if it is a gear start problem.
