  • gear questions help help

    i want to up grade to 3.42 gears and i wondering is there anything else i need to buy along with my gears if so what is it. other wise can i just drop 3.42's in a stock ride.

      u'r gonna want limited slip so youdont spin like hell off the line..

        limited slip from slp, new reluctor ring from the dealship, gear install kit from www.gearsareus.com , gear oil from your local auto parts store, new gasket for differential housing from dealership ...and someone to install them unless you have a lot of experence and the right tools to do it yourself

          I have a friend that tried the install himself.
          I keep him around cause' he makes me look smart! This is'nt a weekend garage mod for the normal guy. Pay the money and let someone else deal with the headaches if they don't do it right.

            also need limited slip additive get it at the dealer will make the rear end not so noisy go with synthetic i used mobile 1 and have fun oh yea do not where clothes that you plan on keeping after the install throw them away out side or burn them one i promise you it will never come out you will thank me for this advise ;)

              zexel torsens dont need lsd additive, but it doesnt hurt anyhting i suppose
