  • intense speedometer calibrator install(help)

Just got the intense speedo calibrator but it didnt really come with any detailed instructions other than splice into the harness. Can anybody whos installed these calibrators help me out with the install, like maybe wire location, color, etc. I dont want to go through my harness cutting and splicing away without any real instruction.

it cost 99 dollars. my trouble is finding the vss wire. ive allready cut into two dark green/white wires but neither of them were the correct wires.

          STOP CUTTING WIRES!
That is the last thing you want to go, go chopping up the wires on your wiring harness trying to find the right one.
Try to look in a haynes or chilton manual for the VSS wire. If you had a 3.4 I could help you, but I doubt its the same for your car and mine. If you want, do a search for it... I made a post about it a while back when I installed mine.

ive got the haynes manual. the problem is there are multiple dark green/white wires and the two i cut were not for the vss.

Why can't they just tune the PCM for the gears so you don't have to worry about it?

i bought an intense pcm that was made for a car with 3.42's assuming that would fix my speedometer. but it didnt and i dont want a gm dealer to flash my pcm because then id lose all the benefits i got with the intense pcm.

got it working. On 98 camaros its the green/white wire on the top cpu pin number 55. I wish I had seen the pinout diagram on this site earlier!!
                  Thanks
