Just to install the converter?
I think you can get the converter off without taking the tranny completely out, if I remember mine correctly.
I'd say no more than 2 hours.
We had my tranny in the back of my dad's truck in under and hour.. takes longer to put it in, but if you don't disconnect the tranny lines and stuff it will be pretty easy.

Yeah, I put mine in, you don't need to pull the trans. It took me about 4 hours to do but, I also put in my trans cooler and a full trans flush. I wouldn't get a stall lower than 3000 tho. I had a PI converter too, 3500 stall, 2.53 STR and 98.7% Eff.

A convertor would conpliment your mods very well. If I were you I'd get a 3500, especially since you got et streets

Mine was a daily driver, I never had any problems. The converter will slip, don't worry about driveablity.

hm... helps a lot to have a lift or a way to get your car WAY up in the air. the top tranny bolt is a real pain in the ***; you will need a bunch of 3/8 extensions (1/2 was too thick).

it would also help to have some e-z outs just in case any of your stall bolts get messed up; they are a star/torx drive and they get stripped out really easily. when we did my buddy's yank 3800 we had to WELD a bolt to one of the stall bolts because it was in so tight. it took a day to get everything done from unhooking the battery to firing it up again.

With my cutout open at a stop light someone would pull up and ask to race, I would agree so I would start to stall up my car. I would do this slowly on purpose, they finally look over and were holy **** is he going to stop reving :D Most people wouldn't race me once I stalled to about 3 g's, which was good because if I wasn't on my drag radials or slicks I would have just gone up in smoke.

Yeah, It was very nice except when I was on street tires and the person didn't back down. I lose a race to a 5.0 mustang auto, I talked **** to the kid for like 2 weeks when he finally said lets race. He had 3.73's, H pipe and a cam but nothing else so I figured he was good for a mid 15 at best. Well away I was trying to intimidate him more at the light while making my way up to 3500, well I got to 3500, the light turn green and I launch full throttle like a dumbass on street tires. He left me sitting their just smoking the tires. I caught up finally and at the next light when race again but, I only stalled to 2500 and whored him. He talked **** to me that whole night to because he "beat me bad" He couldn't get it thru his head that I spun bad and then the second time I whipped him, so the next night I had my MT E/T streets on and well, he lost $100 :D
