  • shift kit good or bad?

well isnt this a yes or no question if there was one. sorry my delima: im about to get rid of my jetchip and get a maft but the jethcip helps with the shifting points and firmness. post removing my jetchip the shifting is not a tough its like an easy flow shift not jerky or powerful? if i choose to get the maft and drop the chip would the transgo be a good change since by selling the jetchip i would have enough to pay for both (well almost) i also want a torque converter would that and the shift kit be great or what. please help me with all of this. all info would be greatly appreciated and useful.

    thank you forum

Yes, the shift kit will help. If you plan on getting a Torque Converter then when you do the shift kit make sure you do it as you already had the TC. That means drilling one or two less holes on teh plate I believe. It's detailed in the instructions.

Seems like one person out there doesn't think so. Explanations seems pretty good. Can anyone disprove that?

hey, blackbyrd... sounds like we have very similar cars... check my sig. as for tc, i have a 3500 stall yank super thruster, and LOVE IT!!! i'm also debating on the trans go shift kit, same as you. shoot me an email sometime at stingray478@yahoo.com. i just ordered 3.42s from SLP today, and in the coming months, i plan on getting cams, RK Sport headers, and the B&B triflo catback. good luck. let me know what you find out.
