  • tranny mount problem

    i was just at the shop cause i was having some stuff done to the camaro. i took my new tranny arm that i got at www.lmperformance.com. this is the link. http://www.lmperformance.com/4295/8.html. now he took off the old on and when to put this on one put it was far too small. does anyone has this on and if you do how did you get it to fit? and please if you can send pictures

      YOu have to take the crossmember off the car, 4 bolts, I think 13mm.

      PUll it off and you have to modify the crossmember, by about a half in. Make the facory hole ~1/2 in. closer to the motor. I have heard people do it less and people do ot more.

      Then cut a little off on the bottom part so you can get a wrench in their to tighten the bolt.

      I am not super crafty, and took me like 30 min to cut it with a dremel, more time since I had to go back and 4th to see if it was lined up. If it was on a lift nad a decent shop, liklely take them less time. I wish I had my circular saw and metal blade with me, would have gone faster, but I was doin it in a parking garage on campus.

        yeah it can easily be done..my shop put this mount on in like 20 minutes

          is this the only mount the transmission have because my mechanic told me mine is in bad condition
