I just got a free one-piece steel driveshaft from a '99 Camaro in a junkyard! Does anyone have a writeup to swap my old two-piece out for it?

-Put trans in Neutral and chock front wheels
-Put rear of car on jackstands
-Crawl under and take the two bolts off of the center of the driveshaft, then the 4 bolts that hold the driveshaft to the Pinion Shaft (you can trun the driveshaft to get to the other bolts because you left the trans in neutral)
-Get a rubber mallet or hammer and tap the driveshaft near the u-joints until it comes off at the rear, then slide it out of the trans housing
Reverse for installation. The one-piece will not have the two bolts at the center of the driveshaft, so don't worry if you see those two bolts sitting around after you're done.
All-in-all, it'll take about 1/2 an hour, and it's very easy to do.sigpic
