I think I'll go with the 3400 cause my peak tq is going to be around 4000-4200

^ me too! ..although the mickey thompsons and adjustable torque arm thrown into my already existing suspension mix should take care of it..my 13.60 was on street tires AND an open diffy..i cant even wait to see how this feels off the line
Keep us updated on the converter. I posted this elsewhere... but it must have been deleted (nitrous section?)... anyway, Andre at Edge is an awesome person to deal with. He will make that converter right no matter what. Stick with that company. Excellent customer service (unlike the other mentioned companies). I wish I had the chance to install his converter in my car, but I couldn't resist getting into the 11's on the stock converter... someday, I WILL go back to him for a converter.
^ it would be really interesting to see what kind of times you get with a converter since you already got the 1.8 60' on the stock one ..it seems like people drop anywhere from 4 - 7 tenths..i decided to just go for it because i think thats whats really going to push me into the 12s..i'll definitely post here again after i get it in..i got the adjustable tranny cooler they recommended yesterday..the raptor intermediate servo arrives on monday..and my guess is they're still working on the converter or it is in shipping

My BEST 60ft. on the STOCK CONVERTER was a 1.672. See sig. Imagine what it would be with a "correctly" built converter...
I guess andre wasnt lieing when he told me he had sold many v6 TC this past 2 weeks. I also bought a converter from him last week its sitting in my garage now awaiting an install. Its a street edge with around a 3400 stall. I currently have a 2800 stall I bought from performance auto and tranny center formally hptransmissions, and I liked it but it bugged me to see guys with alot less mods than I getting better 60' times, granted most of them have considerably lighter cars than mine but it bothered me anyway and when I talked to to andre and he told me how much I could gain from the 600 rpm increase I also couldnt resist the $440 price tag. Are you going to put in the tc yourself? I will be installing mine over the course of a few days this week in order to get to the track next weekend for the opener hopefully to hit 13s NA. I hope that we both se great results.

yeah i couldnt resist the price either! ..im going to be having it installed professionally once it gets here..they're also going to do an adjustable tranny cooler and raptor billet intermediate servo..im hoping to gain a good 1/2 second from it..that would be awesome..what kind of gain did you see from you 2800?
well I cant really say for sure because when I put my old tc in it was the same time I put in my cam, heads, injectors, and other supporting stuff plus a rebuilt tranny with a v8 kit and a transgo shift kit, but I dropped my 60's .4s with all of that. At the time I only had an eigth mile track, but I dropped almost .8's on average. I would definetly say that the tc had its fair share to do with it though.

wow..4 tenths off the 60'..thats awesome..thats what im hoping for..4..maybe even 5 tenths..i'd be psyched to get a 1.6 60'..i havent raced with the 3.42s and all my other new mods..but my best 60' with the open 3.08 and streets was 2.1 ..but its usually a 2.2
woohoo! ..TC just arrived..i call tomorrow for an install date for it, the tranny cooler, and my torque arm (im having them do the tq arm since they have to take it off to drop the tranny anyway)..hopefully i can get it in next week
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
