  • Stall Converters?

Whats the deal with these things?

How do they work to increase performance?
Is it an easy bolt on mod?

its hard to explain any better than how_stuff_works.com does.

its a $300 labor install, though not impossible to do yourself if you have the knowhow, tools and place to work. just a PITA.

It's easy enough to do, you could do it in about 5-6 hours with help. 7-10 hours if by yourself and you've done it before (Not fun! Find help.)

Umm...5-6 hours with help? Try two or three hours with help. The hardest part is getting the bellhousing lined back up.
