  • Installing new LSD parts needed???

okay I have 3.08 gears in my rear end right now with an open differential. I'm in the process of getting 3.42 gears and a LSD from SLP. When I get the LSD is there any additional parts that I will need besides the gears for a 3-series carrier?
    Thanks guys, Pat

EDIT: BTW the gears are not coming from the same source

Here's a summary of what I did when I installed my lsd from SLP:

(you'll probably have to cut and paste the link)
the first picture shows the parts. I used my same gears though, so if you're changing gears you'll be replacing the pinion gear so there will be some extra work and you might want to replace the pinion oil seal in case it gets messed up during removal of the pinion.
