M problem

Well about 8 months ago I had 3.73 put in Stock I had 3.08 I never got the speedo fix it did not bother me. About 3 months after my trany when out. And now my car is back for two week becoues the trany when out agen. This is odd it when out after geting a rebiled like 4 months ago. So any one eles think this is odd .

no it isn't odd at all. if you car shifts incredibly late or early because your computer gear ratio is of by almost .75, then you will see some serious tranny problems...like you see now.

your flywheel and/or clutch is going out, correct? this gear un-calibration is why. sorry bud, i can only give you 2 realistic pieces of advice: either go back to 3.08 or 3.23 ratio (speedo will be off but shifts will not be near as radical with 3.23 and you will most likely never see tranny problems again) or go to 3.42 and get a pcm from a y87 or get your computer reprogrammed.

the safest routes to go when getting new gears. sorry, but until you do either of those or find someone that knows how to tell an a4 computer it has 3.73s--you will continue to have some major issues with that tranny.

might be cheapest and best down the road if you just fix that gear ratio while you know it's the problem and understand it's consequences.

sorry you had to be one to learn this the hard way--i may be down that same creek without a paddle as well if i do not hurry up and get my pcm reprogrammed.
