    i'm sure this has been asked before, but whats the difference between 3.42 and 3.08 gears?

    3.08 has a better topend speed, but weak off the line. 3.42 is stronger off the line, but has a slower topend speed. I can't wait to get rid of my 3.08open and get my 3.42's in.

    I wouldn't mind getting 3.73's either - That's when you start smoking people off the line. :cool:

      so 3.73's are even quicker off the line than 3.42's?

        yeah but your car will lose a greater amount of gas on the highway. higher gears means more gas drain.

          o.k. i understand, so the higher the gear the faster off the line, but worse top end. also, does the B&M shiftplus provide any noticable difference?

            As for the B&M ****Plus, err, shiftplus..do a search on it and you'll get an answer.

              Yeah. I have heard nothing but bad things about the B&M Shiftplus. Thankfully, I asked before I bought it.
              Mods include: SLP CAI, 2.5\" Dynomax catback exhaust, Bosch Platinum spark plugs, Taylor 8mm Spiro ignition wires, Eibach Prokit springs

                ok, i've heard bad things about the shiftplus, but the only bad thing i hear is that people have hear bad things about it.
                so, seriously, has any used it and have any comments?
