i would definitly go with a trans-go. the b&m shift improver is crap. the trans-go will go great with your converter. it will also improve the life of your tranny. also you can do the shift kit yourself but i would recommend letting a professional install it. it isnt that much if i remember correctly. also if you do the shift kit, buy the v8 servo. you will definitly love the shift kit.

Not true, the shift kit raises fluid pressure in your transmission and will cause more wear & tear on it. Basically you are pushing your transmission to the edge on stock components not really designed to handle the stress.
If you want firmer shifts come hell or high water, then the shift kit is definitely a better way to go than any electronic means of firming up shifts. Especially the B&M shift plus, it is known to cause electronic & tranny damage.
I would not put a shift kit in a daily driver if it had the stock transmission. Its a good way to induce slippage, or speed up the aging of your transmission.
On a built transmission, a shift kit is fine, however. But then again, on a well built transmission, you shouldn't need one.
Installs on both can be do-it-yourself. The transgo is considerably harder, but people have done it themselves.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
