Thats all you have to do? So say if I were to get a 99's Y87 VIN, I could go to the dealer and have them flash it and be done?!

Yes, but it needs to be the same year, model, etc. And most dealers wont do it. Does it matter if it has a LS1 engine?

Be careful, I just talked to my mech yesterday and he said that you may need both cars there so they can take the programing off the y87 car and transfer it to yours. He is a GM tech at one of the chevy dealerships here in st. louisSlow 97Comment
